James Madison
My brother Mark and our friend Rob took a weekend trip to visit presidential graves in Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Madison was the seventh (and final) grave of the weekend. We visited the grave on September 7, 1997.
We went to Montpelier after Monticello. By this point, we already had enough of historic houses, so decided not to go to the house and head for home. This picture is from a postcard I bought in the gift shop.

Madison's Grave at Montpelier. As I remember, it is in a small family cemetery in the middle of nowhere. I think we just kept driving down these dirt roads until we found it.
