| This was my first
trip ever to Olean, NY, and I didn't know where the grave is, although I
had an idea where the cemetery is. Using the internet, I found conflicting
addresses. (One was the business office, and the other was the cemetery.)
Using satellite images from Google Maps, I was able to make a pretty good
guess where it is. It's on South Union Street (Route 16 south) just over
the river. When I got to the cemetery, I had no idea where the Governor is buried, so I said to myself, "Self, if you were the most powerful person ever to come out of Olean, where would you be buried?" I drove to the top of the hill, and lo and behold there was the family crypt. I took a bunch of pictures, and was on my way home. |
